PM Shehbaz lauds economic team as PSX 100 index surpasses historic 156,000 mark

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed satisfaction over the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Hundred Index reaching an unprecedented level of 156,000 points.

In his remarks, the premier said this achievement mirrors the confidence of investors and the business community in the government’s economic policies.

He noted that by the blessings of Allah Almighty, the country’s development journey is moving forward with the dedicated efforts of his economic team.

The prime minister recalled that in recent days, Pakistan’s private sector had signed multi-billion-dollar agreements and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Chinese companies, which he believed would pave the way for fresh investments.

He added that the inflow of investment would boost industrial growth, expand exports, and create new job opportunities.

PM Shehbaz praised his economic team for steering the economy toward stability and growth.

It is noteworthy that the PSX has for the first time in its history surpassed the psychological barrier of 156,000 points. The index, which closed at 154,277 points in the previous session, recorded a surge of over 1,800 points during today’s trading.

Market experts say the persistent upward momentum at the stock exchange reflects the growing trust of traders and investors in the government’s economic direction.
