KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur announces to resign, vows to follow PTI founder's directives

Peshawar (Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Wednesday tendered his resignation from office, declaring that the position was a “trust” bestowed upon him by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan which he has now returned on his directive.

In his resignation statement, Gandapur said that the Chief Minister’s office was an entrusted responsibility given by the PTI founder. “As per his instructions, I am returning this trust and stepping down from my post,” he stated.

According to party sources, PTI leadership had already decided to remove Gandapur from the chief ministership — a decision formally confirmed by the party’s Secretary-General, Barrister Salman Akram Raja.

Gandapur’s resignation marks a major development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s political landscape, coming amid reports of internal rifts and leadership changes within PTI’s provincial structure.
