Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully vigilant in any type of threat: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Thursday stated that Pakistan’s armed forces intercepted and neutralised all drones fired by India at multiple locations.

Speaking during a media briefing, the DG ISPR confirmed that these drone incursions occurred on May 7 and 8 in several regions across the country.

According to the military spokesperson, the drones were intercepted in multiple cities and districts including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chhor, and Attock.

The Pakistani armed forces responded swiftly to each incursion, successfully neutralising the drones before they could inflict broader damage.

The spokesperson reiterated the Armed Forces of Pakistan’s commitment to defending its airspace and maintaining territorial sovereignty, stating that the armed forces remain on heightened alert.

The incidents were not without consequences. In Lahore, four Pakistan Army personnel were injured following one of the drone attacks.

Meanwhile, in the town of Miano in Sindh province, one civilian lost his life while another was injured.
