Actor Humaira Asghar Ali’s decomposed body recovered from Karachi apartment

Karachi (Web Desk): The decomposed body of actress Humaira Asghar was discovered in her apartment located in the Defence Phase 6 area of Karachi, police confirmed on Monday.

According to officials, the discovery was made when law enforcement accompanied a court-appointed bailiff to vacate the flat due to a rental dispute. When no one answered the door around 3:15 PM, police forcibly entered the premises — only to find the actress lying lifeless on the floor.

Authorities reported that Humaira had been living alone in the apartment for the past seven years. The apartment owner had filed a legal case over unpaid rent, which led to the court’s directive to vacate the property.

Initial assessments suggest the body may have been there for 15 to 20 days. However, the exact cause and time of death remain unclear and will be determined after a full autopsy.

Police surgeon Dr. Samia stated that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition when brought to the hospital. Forensic samples have been collected, and the post-mortem report is expected to shed light on the circumstances of her death.
