Naushki (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached Naushki district of Balochistan on Tuesday where four members of the armed forces, including an officer, were martyred last week during a terrorist attack on a security camp.
According a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief will spend the day with troops and also meet those who repulsed the attack on February 2.
The COAS will be briefed about the security situation in the area as well as operational preparedness of the formation to counter terrorist activities.
Later, the army chief along with the premier will be given a comprehensive briefing and will also interact with local tribal elders, the ISPR statement added.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) had notified about PM Imran's Naushki visit on its official Twitter account.
"Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a day-long visit to Naushki in Balochistan today. During his visit, the prime minister will be given important operational briefings and he will also meet the soldiers and local elders in the area," the PMO tweeted.
