Lahore (Web Desk): The prestigious "Academic Excellence Awards 2025," organized by the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), was held in Lahore with great enthusiasm.
The event saw the participation of distinguished vice chancellors, rectors, education experts, and senior officials from across the country.
Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Hader Khan graced the ceremony as chief guest.
Among the attendees were notable figures from the media, including Fawad Ahmed, COO of Nai Baat Media Group, and Nasrullah Malik, Executive Director. Key academic leaders including Professor Dr. Samira Rehman, Rector of Superior University, Professor Dr. Mukhtar, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, and Professor Owais Rooh, Chairman of the University of Lahore, also graced the occasion.
Addressing the event, Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of APSUP, emphasized the importance of youth as Pakistan’s greatest asset.
He highlighted that the education and training of the youth hold the key to resolving the country’s social and economic challenges.

The APSUP chief praised the award recipients for their exceptional contributions to the field of education, noting that these awards recognize individuals who have illuminated Pakistan’s stature in the global arena and significantly improved university rankings worldwide.

Governor Punjab, Sardar Salim Haider Khan, remarked that earning a degree alone is not sufficient; character building is equally essential.
He stressed that teachers should serve not only as knowledge providers but also as role models.
“For Pakistan’s progress, our youth must be nurtured intellectually, morally, and scientifically,” Sardar Salim Haider Khan stated.
The Punjab governor also called for empowering education experts to further enhance the quality and ranking of Pakistani universities.
