Tehran (Web Desk): The death toll in the ongoing violent protests in Iran has reached 35. On the ninth day of the protests, clashes between demonstrators and the police continued, further escalating tensions in the country.
During the crackdown, the police have arrested over 1,200 protesters. Iran's Chief Justice stated that hostile elements are making unsuccessful attempts to spread unrest in the country and that strict legal action will be taken against those causing disorder.
In addition, the Iranian government has announced that every citizen will be provided a monthly allowance of $7 to improve their economic conditions and provide relief to the public.
