As per the revised schedule, all government and private educational institutions in Punjab will now resume academic activities on September 1, 2025.
Originally set to reopen in mid-August, schools will remain closed until the end of the month.
The extension applies uniformly to both public and private schools operating under the jurisdiction of the provincial education department.
The announcement comes as part of ongoing adjustments in response to prevailing conditions, with authorities opting to delay the reopening to ensure the well-being of students and staff.
With this change, the summer break now officially continues through August 31, and regular classes are scheduled to recommence from September 1.
