Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has urged shopkeepers not to sell kite strings and kites at inflated prices.
She also advised the residents of Lahore to exercise caution during kite flying, emphasizing that the use of metal wires and sharp spools is illegal. She encouraged people to prioritize free public transport available on all routes instead of using motorcycles to ensure safety.
Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb stated that it is the responsibility of every citizen, youth, and parent to follow the law and ensure their own and others' safety.
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari appealed to the public to celebrate Basant safely and look after each other's well-being. She further urged motorcyclists to avoid riding on roads without safety rods.
