12 India-backed terrorists killed in two Balochistan operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 12 terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy Fitna Al Hindustan during two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Balochistan's Washuk and Mastung districts, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on August 5 and 6 2026, security forces conducted two high-tempo intelligence driven operations in Washuk and Mastung districts of Balochistan, as part of ongoing series of IBOs under “Rad-ul-Fitna-3”, a relentless counter terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian proxies.

“On 5 August 2026, movement of six terrorists was picked up by the security forces in Washuk District of Balochistan. Own troops effectively engaged them effectively. As a result of precise and skillful engagement, all six terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna Al Hindustan were sent to hell,” the statement said.

In another intelligence-based operation on August 6, in Mustang District of Balochistan, six terrorists were sent to hell after intense fire exchange between armed forces and the terrorists. Moreover, terrorist hideout was also destroyed.

“Under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue operations at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday applauded Pakistan’s security forces for carrying out two successful intelligence-based operations under Radd-ul-Fitna III in Balochistan’s Washuk and Mastung districts, where 12 militants identified by the government as India-sponsored Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists were killed.

Separate statements released by the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office praised the security forces for their exceptional professionalism, bravery and operational excellence, saying the successful missions reflected their high level of preparedness and commitment in combating terrorism.

President Zardari said the elimination of the India-backed militants demonstrated the determination, courage and capability of Pakistan’s armed forces.

He described Fitna-al-Hindustan and those supporting the group as adversaries of Pakistan’s peace, stability and development, adding that every attempt to undermine the country’s security would be decisively thwarted.

Reaffirming the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism, the president said the state would continue its efforts to eliminate militant threats from every part of the country.

He also reiterated the nation’s unwavering support for the armed forces and law enforcement agencies working to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens.

The president paid tribute to the security personnel who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured during counterterrorism operations.

He also prayed for lasting peace and stability across Pakistan and sought continued success for the country’s security forces in protecting the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for the successful intelligence-based operations in Washuk and Mastung, appreciating their efforts in neutralising 12 Fitna-al-Hindustan militants during the missions.

The prime minister said the security forces were making notable gains against terrorism under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam, while reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to wiping out terrorism in all its forms across the country.

Both the president and the premier expressed the nation’s gratitude to the security forces for their sacrifices and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s war against terrorism would continue until enduring peace and stability are fully restored nationwide.
