Beijing (Web Desk): In response to rising global tensions and ongoing military actions against Iran, China has decided to take an active role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that a special envoy will be sent immediately to revive negotiations between the conflicting parties.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a media briefing in Beijing, emphasized that China is committed to stopping bloodshed and seeking diplomatic solutions.
China has called on all parties to immediately halt military actions to prevent further loss of life. The envoy will work to bring the parties back to the negotiating table.
China stressed that escalating tensions not only threaten regional peace but also have serious repercussions for global trade and the economy. Highlighting the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz approach of United States, China’s “soft power” initiative could enhance its global influence.
