Punjab remains open for students from across Pakistan: CM Maryam

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that Punjab's educational institutions are open to students from all provinces, and that students from Balochistan are particularly welcome.

Speaking to participants of the National Workshop from Balochistan, she clarified that no student from any province is treated unfairly or discriminated against in Punjab.

She highlighted the significance of her own position as the first female Chief Minister of Punjab, stating that it serves as an inspiring example for women. She emphasized that women are capable of achieving success in any field.

The Chief Minister also stressed her commitment to serving the public without discrimination and using the taxpayers' money for the benefit of the people. She assured that transparency in the use of funds has been ensured, and the culture of favoritism and nepotism has been eliminated.

Maryam Nawaz pointed out that each province receives funds based on its population, and dismissed the misconception that Punjab receives the most funding. She explained that this is not accurate and that funds are distributed fairly.

She also mentioned that 10,000 heart surgeries have been performed in Punjab, including surgeries for children from other provinces. She urged the youth to avoid being divided into groups and cautioned them not to be misled by claims that one province has more or less money than others.

She reiterated the importance of national unity and encouraged everyone to work together for the country's progress.
