DG ISPR interacts with VCs, faculty members at National Security Workshop 2026

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): A special session, featuring the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary was organised during the National Security and Strategic Leadership Workshop 2026, where senior representatives from universities across Pakistan gathered to discuss key national security matters and strategic challenges.

Vice chancellors, deans, registrars, and experienced faculty members from more than 200 universities took part in the workshop.

Academic officials from Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Multan and Quetta also joined the programme virtually.

Addressing the participants, the DG ISPR spoke about Pakistan’s prevailing internal security landscape and shed light on the growing strategic and security-related issues facing the country.

The attendees commended the contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards protecting the nation’s sovereignty, peace, and stability.

They remarked that Pakistan’s success in Marka-e-Haq was made possible through the dedication and sacrifices of the armed forces, while reaffirming their trust in the country’s defence institutions.

Participants further observed that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) deeply admire the Pakistan Army.

They added that the session offered meaningful guidance on safeguarding students from false narratives and encouraging the dissemination of verified and responsible information.

Members of the academic community described the interaction as an important and timely effort that strengthened understanding of national security, information warfare, and the modern challenges confronting the country.

They underlined the need for closer cooperation between educational institutions and the armed forces to foster national unity and informed dialogue.

The participants also appreciated the initiative taken by ISPR to bring together university leadership and academia on one platform in order to improve coordination and develop better understanding on issues of national significance.
