Islamabad (Staff Report/Agencies): United States Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad on Friday arrived in Islamabad for delegation-level talks between Pakistan and the US on the Afghan peace process.
Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua received the US envoy at the Foreign Office (FO).
The Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua while, American delegation is being headed by US Special Representative for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad.
“Tehmina Janjua held talks with US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation on efforts to promote peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan,” said Foreign Office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal in a tweet.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad also called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Both the dignitaries exchanged views on the Afghan peace process, current regional situation and the matters of mutual interests.
