Security forces kill four Indian-sponsored terrorists in Kalat: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed four Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat District of Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on last Saturday night in Kalat District of Balochistan on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna-al-Hindustan.

"During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and resultantly killed four Indian-sponsored terrorists," the statement said.

It added that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

The military’s media wing said that sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area.

"The relentless counterterrorism campaign, under vision "Azm e Istehkam" (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan), by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country," the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday commended the country’s security forces for a successful intelligence-led operation in Balochistan’s Kalat district.

In separate statements, the president and the premier praised the security forces for neutralizing four Indian-sponsored terrorists, describing the action as a remarkable success in safeguarding national security.

President Zardari, currently on an official trip to Qatar, lauded the courage and determination of the security and law enforcement agencies.

He stressed that Operation Azm-e-Istehkam must continue to ensure lasting peace and eliminate threats posed by anti-state groups.

The president reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan fully support their security forces and remain united in the collective fight to wipe out terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also reiterated the government’s firm resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country.

He said Pakistan’s fight against militancy would persist until the menace was completely eliminated, affirming that the nation stands steadfast behind its armed forces in defending the homeland.
