DPM Dar departs for Amman to attend Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has departed for Amman, Jordan, to participate in a ministerial meeting on Jerusalem scheduled to be held tomorrow.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi. The meeting will bring together foreign ministers from the Arab League and several Islamic countries, including Pakistan, to develop a joint position on the rapidly deteriorating situation in occupied Jerusalem.

The participating foreign ministers will also meet with King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan during the visit.

At the meeting, Ishaq Dar will reiterate Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle.

He will also hold bilateral discussions with foreign ministers from participating countries to exchange views on regional and international developments.

Pakistan’s participation in the meeting reflects its longstanding and principled stance in support of Palestine, as well as its continued commitment to the establishment of an independent, sovereign and contiguous State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
