Google maps introduces interesting new feature for mobile users

California (Web Desk): Google Maps users are set to enjoy a new feature that allows them to explore how places looked in the past directly from their smartphones.

To mark the 15th anniversary of Street View, Google has announced that historical Street View imagery is now being added to the Google Maps apps for both Android and iOS devices.

The feature has long been available on desktop and laptop versions of Google Maps, but with most users now relying on smartphones, the company has decided to bring the functionality to its mobile platforms as well.

To access older Street View images, users simply need to open a Street View photo and tap the “See More Dates” option.

This will display previously captured images of the same location, allowing users to view how an area has changed over time.

Depending on image availability, users may be able to see what their neighborhood, street, or other locations looked like as far back as a decade ago.

The feature offers a unique and engaging way to revisit the past and observe how familiar places have evolved over the years, making the Google Maps experience even more interactive and enjoyable.
