Govt focused on boosting exports, investment and manufacturing: PM Shehbaz

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that effective policy measures to enhance exports and increase domestic industrial production remain among the government’s key priorities.

He was chairing a review meeting in Islamabad focused on sectoral reforms and policy initiatives aimed at boosting investment and strengthening overall economic growth.

The prime minister emphasized that promoting industry and manufacturing, along with attracting greater foreign investment, is essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the national economy.

He further stated that reforms across industry, trade, and other economic sectors should be designed to deliver lasting economic benefits as well as public welfare.

PM Shehbaz noted that work is underway on a comprehensive strategy to meet future energy requirements through alternative and renewable energy sources.

He also highlighted that a robust and effective Electric Vehicle (EV) policy is crucial for energy conservation and providing affordable transport facilities in the country.

The prime minister stressed the need for close coordination among all ministries to ensure effective formulation and implementation of development policies.

PM Shehbaz reiterated that administrative transparency and optimal performance across all reforms and initiatives remain the government’s top priority.
