Lahore (Web Desk): Former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar Friday became the latest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader to quit politics following the violent incidents of May 9.
Addressing a press conference, the former Punjab chief minister condemned the May 9 violent events.
“Keeping in view the situation in the country, we have always the done of politics of virtue and encourage it. But in the present political situation, I have decided to quit politics,” he said.
Buzdar asserted that he was and will always stand with the Pakistan Army.
The former Punjab CM called on all stakeholders to reach a consensus and asked the authorities to release all those who were innocent from jail.
