Toshakhana 2 case: Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi appear in court, witness records statement

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi appeared before a special accountability court set up inside Adiala Jail in connection with the Toshakhana reference.

During the hearing, conducted by Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Assistant Director Aftab Ahmed recorded his testimony as a prosecution witness. He presented his statement in light of the evidence submitted by NAB.

Bushra Bibi’s legal, Advocate Arshad Tabrez, completed his cross-examination of the witness, while Imran Khan’s lawyer, Qausain Mufti, is scheduled to conduct cross-examination at the next hearing.

The court summoned two additional witnesses to appear at the next hearing, where their statements will be recorded.

Later the court adjourned the hearing till August 6.
