Lahore (Staff Report): At least four Chashma power plants were shutdown on Tuesday as high transmission lines of National Transmission and Dispatch Company Ltd. (NTDC), tripped.
According to details, for the security of the system load shedding is announced across the country as the transmission lines disorder has created a shortage of 12MW electricity.
In addition to four power plants, three other RLNG based plants of 3600MW power are also closed for testing purposes. Under current situation an increased load shedding is expected in the country including Lahore.
Power division officials reported that the recovery of the high transmission lines will take time.
Official reported that out of four, two power plants connections are expected to be functional till tonight however, other two will take more time.
