Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities to ensure strict maintenance of law and order throughout the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram.
In an official statement, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for comprehensive security arrangements and issued firm instructions to ban the use of drone cameras during Muharram processions and gatherings, citing security concerns.
To counter the spread of religious hatred and sectarian content, a special monitoring cell has been activated, operating 24/7 to keep a close watch on online platforms. The cell is tasked with identifying and taking immediate action against any digital content that may incite sectarian tension or disrupt communal harmony.
Maryam Nawaz reiterated her government's commitment to ensuring peaceful observance of Muharram and stressed the importance of interfaith harmony and responsible behavior, both online and offline.
