Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, have extended their heartfelt greetings to the entire Pakistani nation.
In their separate messages, they emphasized that this day teaches lessons of joy, gratitude, brotherhood, and compassion.
“Eid-ul-Fitr teaches the importance of unity and solidarity, encouraging everyone to foster unity, support one another, and contribute to steering Pakistan toward progress and prosperity,” President Zardari said.
He also prayed for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), pleading Allah Almighty to grant them freedom and bless them with the joy of Eid soon.
In his felicitation message issued on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, the premier said, “Eid day teaches us happiness, thankfulness, brotherhood and empathy.
He said that the holy month of Ramadan emphasis on forbearance, patience and sacrifice and it was necessary for us to continue practicing these characteristics even after Ramadan besides sticking to Islamic principles.
“Today the country is facing threats from internal and external enemies," the premier said, adding that there is a need to stay protected from all sorts of extremism, hatred and sectarianism.
“We need to be united for integrity and stability of the country besides not letting any conspiracy to succeed,” he added.
PM Shehbaz said that the government is making every effort to achieve economic recovery, maintain peace and order, and ensure social stability.
He commended the sacrifices of the armed forces of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and extended solidarity to the bereaved families of the martyrs.
The premier said today we pray to the Allah Almighty to elevate ranks of all martyrs and express solidarity with their family members.
“Today we also pray to the Allah Almighty to elevate ranks of martyrs of Jafar Express incident and equally share the grief of their family members.”
PM Shehbaz added that the we need to remember our innocent brothers who are facing atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) besides Palestine.
“Pakistan is standing with the freedom struggle of people ofIIOJK and Palestinian people and would continue supporting them,” he said.
The premier said that the international community should play its role in stopping human rights violations and solve their genuine problems.
He appealed to the people to share joys of Eid-ul-Fitr with weak and deserving brothers and sisters, relatives and neighbours and play their role in forming a welfare society.
The prime minister prayed that may Allah Almighty grant us courage to understand the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr and implement it in the real sense.
