No shortcuts to real success, Ashtar tells Superior University graduates, urges choosing 'right path' over 'easy one'

Lahore (Web Desk): Former Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP), Ashtar Ausaf said that the youth should understand the true meaning of success emphasising that in professional life, a person’s character and integrity carry more weight than degrees alone.

Delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address to graduating students at the 9th Convocation of Superior University, Ausaf advised students that while academic qualifications open doors, it is honesty, consistency, and strong moral values that define a person’s long-term success.

Sharing key principles for personal and intellectual growth, he encouraged graduates to avoid shortcuts and instead choose the “right path” over the easy one, even if it appears more difficult.

He said that steadfastness in purpose and integrity are the keys that unlock the doors of progress.
Ausaf stressed that the world ultimately recognizes individuals not merely by their education, but by their hard work and strength of character.

The former AGP also warned students against ending their learning journey after earning a degree.

He reminded them that education has no limits, and that graduation is only a milestone — true success lies in lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement.

Highlighting the responsibilities of youth, Ausaf urged graduates to acknowledge the sacrifices of their parents and teachers.

He said every student owes a debt of gratitude to those who supported their journey, and that this debt can only be repaid through excellence in practical life.

The former AGP advised students to aim not only for personal success but also to create ease and opportunities for everyone connected to them.
