DPM Dar, Saudi FM exchange views on regional and international developments

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional and international situation and reaffirmed the importance of close coordination on key geopolitical developments.

During the call, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on a range of pressing regional and global issues, with particular focus on the rapidly changing security environment in the Middle East.

They also reviewed the latest developments in the Red Sea and the strategically important Bab al-Mandeb Strait, highlighting the need to maintain regional stability and ensure the security of vital international maritime routes.

The conversation also focused on the worsening humanitarian and political situation in Palestine. Both leaders welcomed Jordan's proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to deliberate on the grave situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in East Jerusalem.

They agreed that enhanced coordination among Muslim countries is essential to address the ongoing crisis and support efforts aimed at safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian people.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close consultation on regional and international matters of mutual concern.

They also underscored the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and cooperation in promoting peace, stability and collective action through coordinated regional initiatives.
