'Next stop $140': Iran’s Ghalibaf hits back at Trump over oil claims

Tehran (Web Desk): Iran’s chief negotiator and Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf strongly criticized the US Treasury Secretary, saying that the “reckless advice” and flawed policies of American officials had pushed global oil prices to the $120 mark.

Ghalibaf warned that oil prices in the international market were expected to rise even further and could soon reach $140 per barrel.

Mocking Washington’s strategy, he said US sanctions and blockades were ultimately proving harmful to the global economy itself.

Despite the ongoing blockade, the Iranian speaker expressed confidence regarding Iran’s oil reserves and supply, stating, “Three days have passed since the blockade began, yet not a single oil well has dried up so far. I assure you this will not happen even in the next 30 days.”
