Info minister warns of possible Indian military action in next 24-36 hours 

Islamabad (Web Desk/Agencies): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated late Tuesday that Pakistan has received credible intelligence indicating that India is planning a military strike against Pakistan within the next 24 to 36 hours.

He warned that such an action, based on what he called baseless and fabricated claims linking Pakistan to the recent incident in Pahalgam, would have dire consequences not only for the region but globally as well.

In his statement Tarar emphasized that Pakistan outright rejects what he described as India’s self-assigned and arrogant posture of acting as judge, jury, and executioner in the region.

The minister called such behavior reckless and dangerous. Highlighting Pakistan's own experience as a victim of terrorism, he reiterated that the country has consistently condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations around the world.

“As a responsible member of the international community, Pakistan has offered a credible and transparent investigation by a neutral and independent commission of experts to determine the facts surrounding the Pahalgam incident,” Tarar said.

He expressed disappointment that, instead of choosing a rational and peaceful approach, India appeared to be opting for confrontation—a decision he warned could lead to disastrous consequences for the entire region.

Tarar added that India’s avoidance of a credible investigation is, in itself, revealing of its actual motives.

He criticized what he described as a deliberate strategy of manipulating public sentiment to achieve political goals, calling it both unfortunate and condemnable.

Tarar said Pakistan reiterated that any such military adventurism by India would be responded to assuredly and decisively.

“The International community must remain alive to the reality that the onus of escalatory spiral and its ensuing consequences shall squarely lie with India,” Tarar emphasized.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity at any cost.
