PSL10:Lahore Qalandars set 210-run target for Islamabad United

Lahore (Web Desk): In the 19th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Lahore Qalandars posted a commanding total of 209/6 against Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium, thanks to explosive innings from Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza.

After being put into bat first, Lahore got off to a solid start as openers Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem added 50 runs during the powerplay. Naeem, who played aggressively, was run out for 25 off 22 balls. Fakhar Zaman contributed a quick 44 off 30 deliveries, smashing 5 fours and 2 sixes.

He then partnered with Abdullah Shafique for a 47-run stand before both were dismissed in quick succession by Imad Wasim, leaving Lahore at 108/3. Abdullah scored 22 off 17 balls.

Middle-order batsmen Sam Billings and Daryl Mitchell injected further momentum into the innings with a brisk 37-run partnership off just 21 balls. Mitchell made 28 from 18 deliveries, including 2 fours and 2 sixes.

The real fireworks came in the death overs, courtesy of a blistering 64-run stand between Billings and Sikandar Raza. Raza smashed 39 off just 17 balls, hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes, while Billings remained unbeaten on 38 from 17 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes.

For Islamabad United, Imad Wasim and Jason Holder took two wickets apiece, while Ben Dwarshuis claimed one.
