DPM Dar, Egyptian FM exchange views on regional developments

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr Badr Abdelatty, during which the two leaders discussed the rapidly worsening situation in Palestine and expressed serious concern over the ongoing crisis.

During the call, both ministers strongly denounced Israel's continued military campaign in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank, as well as the surge in settler violence and repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

They stressed that the violence must come to an immediate end and called for unrestricted humanitarian relief to reach those in need while emphasizing the importance of full adherence to international law.

The two foreign ministers also reviewed Jordan's proposal to bring together a group of Arab and Islamic countries to strengthen diplomatic coordination and collective efforts in support of the Palestinian people.

They further exchanged perspectives on the latest developments across the region, highlighting that restraint, constructive dialogue, and sustained diplomatic engagement remain essential to preventing further escalation and maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East.
