PM Shehbaz, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian discuss evolving regional situation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed that consistent communication and meaningful diplomatic efforts are vital for ensuring lasting peace, regional stability, and shared prosperity.

He conveyed these sentiments during a phone conversation with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday.

The two leaders spoke at length about the shifting regional environment and shared their assessments of recent developments.

Highlighting the deep-rooted and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran — founded on common historical links, cultural connections, and shared religious heritage — both sides reaffirmed their pledge to remain engaged through frequent high-level contacts.

They also agreed to make full use of established bilateral mechanisms to expand collaboration across all areas of mutual interest.
