TikTok releases annual review report of most searched topics in Pakistan for 2025

Islamabad (Web Desk): TikTok has released its annual review report for 2025, highlighting the most searched topics in Pakistan, which include travel, food, cricket, movies, music, and entertainment digital searches. According to the report, Pakistanis are not only using TikTok for entertainment but also considering it as a key source for discovering real-life experiences.

Ames Naveed, Head of South Asia Content Operations at TikTok, said that the Pakistani public turns to TikTok to gain information about various activities, whether it’s the latest cricket moments, planning vacations, the desire to learn something new, or checking public reviews before making purchases.

According to the report, the most searched locations included Islamabad, the Hunza Altit Fort, the Chenab River, and Lahore and Karachi. In news and cricket moments, the most searched topic was Pakistan's former captain Babar Azam's century against Sri Lanka. In addition, Pakistan's matches against South Africa and Sri Lanka were also popular, and there was a significant number of searches related to information about the floods.

In the music category, the most searched songs included "Jhol" by Pakistani singers Mano and Anwarul Khalid, while India's Shubh's "Supreme" and Afusic's "Pal Pal" were also among the most searched songs this year.

In the food category, "Lava Burger" and "Dubai Chocolate" were the most searched items, while in cricket, Babar Azam was the most searched player, followed by Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma.

Among TikTok creators, Aleena Amir, Jannat Mirza, Khizar Omar, and Kanwal Aftab were the most searched, while among showbiz personalities, Imran Ashraf, Fahad Mustafa, and Mahira Khan were prominently searched.

The TikTok report also highlighted a significant increase in searches with various hashtags, such as #TravelTok (up by 53%), #FoodTok (up by 52%), #StudyTok (up by 60%), and #FitnessTok (up by 66%).

TikTok emphasized that its goal is to facilitate a creative community in Pakistan, making searches more accessible, interesting, and meaningful for everyone.
