PM Shehbaz for safe railway travel, robust freight services to boost economy

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday directed Pakistan Railways to focus on improving passenger comfort and maintaining safe train operations across the country, while also enhancing freight services to make stronger and more efficient to boost economic activity.

The directives were issued during a meeting in Islamabad with Federal Minister for Railways Mohammad Hanif Abbasi, who briefed the prime minister on the ministry’s performance and ongoing activities.

During the meeting, the prime minister appreciated the recent initiatives taken by Pakistan Railways to provide better facilities and services to travelers.

Discussions also covered development projects currently underway, operational affairs of the railway ministry, and progress on multiple plans aimed at modernizing and improving railway infrastructure.
