'Digital Pakistan' is key priority of PM Shehbaz, 5G will revolutionize internet speed: Shaza Fatima

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja has said that the government is rapidly moving Pakistan towards a digital and cashless economy.

She stated that a cashless system is not only a requirement of the modern era but also promotes financial transparency and significantly reduces the chances of fraud in the financial system.

The minister added that the introduction of 5G technology will bring a major improvement in internet speed across the country, enabling citizens to access essential services with just a “single click.” She said the vision of a “Digital Pakistan” is a key priority of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and is being implemented at a fast pace.

Shaza Fatima further said that in light of changing global market demands, Pakistani youth are being equipped with modern technological skills so they can compete internationally and contribute to foreign exchange earnings for the country.

She emphasized that digital transformation is central to Pakistan’s future economic growth, adding that efforts are underway to modernize systems and expand access to digital services nationwide.
