Gold price decreases by Rs14,000 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices across Pakistan experienced a steep decline on Tuesday, with the rate of 24-karat gold per tola plunging by Rs14,000 to settle at Rs416,362, compared to Rs430,362 recorded a day earlier.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also dipped by Rs12,003, coming down to Rs356,963 from Rs368,966.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold were traded at Rs327,227 after a fall of Rs11,004 from the previous day’s value of Rs338,231.

The international bullion market mirrored the local downturn, as gold prices slipped by $140, reaching $3,940 from $4,080 recorded earlier.

The weakening trend extended to silver as well. The per tola rate of silver decreased by Rs173 to Rs4,924 from Rs5,097, while 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs148, settling at Rs4,221 from Rs4,369.

On the global stage, silver prices also retreated, falling by $1.73 to $46.62 against the earlier rate of $48.35, according to APSGJA data.
