Islamabad (Staff Report): Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar on Wednesday met President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
The President congratulated Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar on his appointment as DG ISI and wished him well in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
The DG and the head of the State discussed the current security situation and professional matters during the meeting.
Mamnoon Hussain acknowledged that the role of the top intelligence agency of the country in the ongoing war on terror deserved appreciation, and expressed hope that the institution will work according to expectations of the public in the future.
