Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday launched poverty alleviation programme ‘Ehsas’.
An amount of Rs 120 billion has been earmarked for the programme titled ‘Ehsaas’.
Addressing the launching ceremony of ‘Ehsaas’, PM Imran said the PTI-led government would soon make an amendment in the constitution, making it a fundamental right for all citizens to be given food, shelter, education and health facilities by the state.
The premier said the government would increase spending to bring out the poorest section of society.
PM Imran said the government has planned to create a separate ministry to alleviate poverty in Pakistan.
