Govt increases petrol price by Rs25.58 per litre

Islamabad (Web Desk): Government has announced to increase the petroleum prices with immediate effect in view of the rising oil prices trend in global market.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division on Friday, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs25.58 per litre after which the new price has jumped to Rs100.10 per litre.

Likewise, prices of high speed diesel have been increased from Rs80.15 to Rs101.46, kerosene oil from Rs35.56 to Rs59.06 and light diesel oil from Rs38.14 to Rs55.98 per litre.

Meanwhile, Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub Khan stated that surge in the prices of petroleum products has been made because of the sharp increase of oil prices at the international market during the last month.
