Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Members of the United States House of Representatives Ryan Keith Zinke and Michael James visited General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where they met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and discussed matters related to Pakistan-US relations, defence cooperation, and regional security.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries and exploring avenues for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
During the interaction, both sides exchanged views on the existing defence partnership between Pakistan and the United States and discussed ways to further enhance collaboration in the security domain.
The discussions also covered opportunities for increasing economic cooperation and promoting stronger engagement between the two countries across different sectors.
The visiting US lawmakers and the military leadership also reviewed the prevailing regional security environment and shared perspectives on issues of common concern.
