Karachi (Staff Report): Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) touched another record peak on Thursday as the KSE-100 index managed to close above 50,000 points level.
At close, the PSX benchmark index recorded a rise of 0.88%, or 435.59 points, to end the day’s trading at 50,192.36 points.
The meteoric rise of the PSX, which began in November last year, is attributed by some analysts less to the underlying companies’ prospective earnings and growth and more to the liquidity that swamps the market.
