The news outlet had falsely claimed that Pakistan was attacked by the Afghan Air Force, a claim that quickly drew widespread backlash online.

Following the public pressure, Sky News was forced to delete the post. Thousands of Pakistani social media users refuted the report, pointing out that “the Afghan Air Force does not even exist” and labeling the claim as entirely baseless.

This is not the first instance where Sky News has been exposed for spreading false narratives against Pakistan and its armed forces.

Yalda Hakim, a Sky News anchor of Afghan origin, has long been involved in promoting an anti-Pakistan narrative, which has sparked debate and scrutiny on social media.

Pakistani users criticized Sky News for unprofessional journalism, stating that disseminating false information violates core journalistic standards.
