Qatari PM to arrive in Tehran today for key talks

Doha  (Web Desk): Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is set to visit Iran today, where he will hold high-level meetings with Iranian officials to discuss regional developments and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions.

According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will focus on ways to lower the level of confrontation between Iran and the United States and explore diplomatic solutions to ensure greater peace and stability in the region.

During the meetings, officials are expected to discuss ongoing regional challenges and efforts to prevent further escalation.

Sources said that the restoration of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz to the period before the conflict could also be part of the discussions.

Qatar has been actively working to promote dialogue between Tehran and Washington and has increased its diplomatic engagement to help ease tensions.

The Gulf nation has previously played a key role as a mediator in indirect talks between Iran and the United States.
