Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday highlighted Pakistan’s appreciation for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) consistent backing, generous assistance and constructive contribution to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
The prime minister made the remarks as Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki paid a farewell call on him at the PM House, after completion of his official tenure in Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz congratulated Al-Malki on completing his tenure and acknowledged the ambassador’s efforts to further develop the longstanding brotherly and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister also conveyed his heartfelt greetings and prayers for the good health and well-being of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Ambassador Al-Malki expressed his gratitude to PM Shehbaz and the Government of Pakistan for the cooperation, hospitality and cordial treatment he received throughout his posting.
Recalling his time in Pakistan, the Saudi envoy said the assignment had been an unforgettable and rewarding chapter of his diplomatic career.
He further pledged to continue playing his part in strengthening the close relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
PM Shehbaz wished Ambassador Al-Malki every success and prosperity in his future responsibilities and endeavours.
