Finance Minister Aurangzeb expresses confidence in economy, highlights role of public servants

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has emphasized the crucial role of public servants in national governance, stating that timely decisions are key to success. He said Pakistan’s economy is now on the right track, and international institutions are acknowledging this improvement.

The finance minister identified climate change and population growth as major challenges, noting that financial stability is not a final destination but a continuous journey. He highlighted that the 2022 floods caused over $30 billion in damages to the country.

Aurangzeb also revealed that Pakistan is entering the international capital market through Panda Bonds, and that global institutions like Moody’s have upgraded Pakistan’s credit rating.

He stressed the need for better management to ensure macroeconomic stability and said that improving public management in Pakistan is achievable through timely and effective decision-making.
