PM Shehbaz Sharif’s powerful UN address: Warning to India, stand for Palestine, message of peace

New York (Web Desk): At the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a powerful and resolute speech, warning India and firmly standing in support of the Palestinian people. He began his address with a recitation from the Holy Quran and praised UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for his leadership amid challenging global circumstances.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the world is currently facing an extremely complex phase marked by wars, terrorism, environmental crises, rising hatred, and human rights violations. He emphasized that Pakistan desires peace but reserves the right to defend itself in case of aggression. Referring to the Indian aggression on Pakistan’s eastern border in May, he stated that Pakistan responded decisively, shooting down seven Indian warplanes. He commended the leadership of Field Marshal General Asim Munir and honored the sacrifices of martyrs, affirming that Pakistan is determined to defeat India on every front.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned Israel’s brutality against Palestinians as a dark chapter in human history and urged the international community to support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. He also drew attention to global challenges like climate change, fake news, and spreading of hateful ideologies.

He warned that any violation of the Indus Waters Treaty would be considered an act of war, stressing that water is a matter of life and sovereignty for Pakistan. Extending an offer for dialogue once again, he called on India to embrace peace and stated that South Asia needs proactive and responsible leadership instead of provocation.

This address reflected Pakistan’s firm stance on foreign policy, national security, and the defense of global human rights.
