Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari Calls Joint Sessions of Senate and National Assembly for Important Legislation
President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, has summoned the sessions of both the Senate (Upper House) and National Assembly (Lower House) for tomorrow. The Senate session will begin at 4 PM, while the National Assembly session will follow at 5 PM, both to be held at the Parliament House. The sessions are expected to focus on important legislation.
The sessions have been called on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and will be held in accordance with Article 54 of the Constitution. The duration of the sessions is expected to be 10 days.
Additionally, a joint sitting of Parliament will also be convened during this session. Any legislation that fails to pass in either the Senate or National Assembly will be presented in the joint session for approval.
