California (Web Desk): Instagram Rolls Out New Update for Reels, Expanding Video Length and Editing Features
Instagram has introduced a new update to its Reels camera, making it easier for users to create and edit videos. Now, users can record videos up to 20 minutes long directly through the Reels camera, a significant increase from the previous 1-minute limit.
According to tech websites, this update also includes a new "Undo" feature, allowing users to easily remove clips from their Reels if necessary. Additionally, a new "Touch Up" mode slider has been added, giving users more control over the intensity of filters and polish effects.
Instagram has also enhanced its green screen feature and improved video recording with upgraded countdown and timing tools for smoother and more precise captures.
While this update increases the video length, Instagram’s algorithm still favors videos under 3 minutes, meaning longer videos may not be as prominently displayed. This new feature is especially beneficial for those creating storytelling, tutorials, or episodic content.
