Death toll from twin earthquakes in Venezuela rises to 235

Caracas (Web Desk): The death toll from two powerful back-to-back earthquakes in Venezuela has climbed to 235, while more than 4,300 people have been injured, as rescue operations continue in the country's worst-hit areas.

Emergency response teams are searching through the rubble of collapsed buildings in the capital, Caracas, and the coastal state of La Guaira, where widespread destruction has been reported. Rescue workers, supported by emergency services, are using heavy machinery and search equipment in an effort to locate survivors trapped beneath the debris.

According to the United Nations, more than 100 buildings have collapsed as a result of the strong tremors, leaving thousands of people displaced and causing extensive damage to homes, public infrastructure, and commercial properties.

Hospitals in the affected regions are treating hundreds of injured people, while temporary shelters have been established for families forced to leave their homes. Authorities have also warned of possible aftershocks and urged residents to remain cautious and follow safety instructions.
