Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye review progress towards establishing institutional structures 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have assessed the progress made so far in setting up the institutional mechanisms envisaged under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The matter was discussed during a trilateral meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Sharing details of the meeting on his X account, Ishaq Dar said the three sides also discussed regional and international security developments and exchanged views on related matters.

Met with my brothers, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud @FaisalbinFarhan and Foreign Minister of Türkiye Hakan Fidan @HakanFidan, along with our respective delegations, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Under the framework of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA), we reviewed progress towards establishing the institutional structures under the Agreement and exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
