In a message on the occasion of National Newspaper Readership Day, observed today, the President urged the youth to make newspaper reading a regular habit and called on educational institutions to actively promote this practice.
Zardari praised the All-Pakistan Newspapers Society for its efforts in celebrating this day annually, recognizing the importance of print media in informing the public and shaping societal discourse.
The President emphasized that while press freedom is fundamental to democracy, it must be exercised with truth, balance, and fairness. He urged the media to continue upholding high standards of ethics and responsibility in its reporting.
