As England began their second innings, they quickly lost two openers: Ben Duckett was dismissed by Sajid Khan and Zak Crawley by Noman Ali.
Pakistan maintained their grip on the match when Noman sent Ollie Pope back to the pavilion, leaving England struggling at 20/3 after just eight overs. The day's play was halted due to poor light after only nine overs, with England ending on 24/3 and trailing by 53 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan made a strong comeback after being in trouble at 46/3, thanks to a gritty century from Saud Shakeel.
